Frequently Asked Questions
Why do I not use some of the abilities I own when I fight other Vampires?
Short answer: Because you are using something stronger or equally as strong instead.
Long answer: Each ability you use has an “attack” stat and a “defense” stat. When you attack you are using the abilities with the highest attack; when you are the one being attacked you use the abilities with the highest defense
How do I win more fights?
Do you have at least 501 clan members? If not, you need to increase your clan size. How much did you invest into your attack+defense stats? If they’re not at least 3x your level then you are weaker than the average Vampire.
If you want to win more fights than you loose, increase your clan size, make sure to invest more points into attack/defense, and try to have the best abilities you can get for your level.
I did more damage to my opponent why did I lose the fight?
Damage is calculated separately from fight results, so it’s possible to lose the fight even though you did more damage.
I just hit level 125 and everyone I see on the Combat list is a far higher level than me. Why?
Players levels 1-125 can only see players within their level rang. Once you hit level 125 you can see and be seen by everyone 125 or above.
If you are having a hard time finding vamps to attack on the fight page, try refreshing it a few times. Keep an eye on your news feed, as well. You can attack those who have lost to you and most likely win.
How do I raise my skill rank?
Attack other Vampires that have an equal or higher skill rank than you.
Remember that their rank decreases each time you defeat them, so you are likely to receive less Skill Ranking if you continuously attack the same opponent.
I completed the tutorial but I didn’t get my trophy.
There’s currently a bug that prevents the Tutorial (and other) trophies from being rewarded at the correct time.
If this has happened to you, you can submit a Customer Support ticket at Zynga.com/support.
How do “clans” work?
To become someone’s clan member they must have the application installed and be your “friend” on whichever social network platform you are on.
If they accept the clan invite you send them, they will be added to your clan.
Keep in mind, this does not mean all of their other clan-mates will become yours.
I had a lot of blood but it’s gone now. Why?
There are certain abilities (or upgraded abilities) that require an upkeep to possess. This upkeep drains your blood every hour.
If you have multiple copies of an upkeep ability, you will lose blood that much faster.
Can I reset my character?
Unfortunately, there is no way to reset your character.
However, stats can be reallocated and names can be changed by visiting the Elders page and utilizing the options presented there.
When I lose a fight, I lose 100k blood but when I win, I only win 70k blood. Why?
Whenever a fight is won, there is 30k blood taken out as a combat tax.
At times that extra blood will be used to pay for fight assists where you will get double the usual amount (up to 140,000), and any clan-mate that assists you will get up to 35,000.
How come I cannot open any more of Akem’s Treasure locks?
If you’ve unlocked 7 locks, you’ve opened all there is for the time being. If not you may have to wait one more day or you may have experienced a bug.
